- You are mistaken, I have the following results:
-
- A4000/040 @ 25 Mhz 486DX @ 100 Mhz
- 10MB RAM IBrowse .81 8MB RAM Netscape 2.0.1
- 28.8 dial-up Ethernet network from T-1
- AmigaDOS 3.0 Windows 95
-
- www.vv.com 4 sec. (cache) 5 sec. (cache)
- AWEB 23 sec.(no cache) 15 sec.(no cache)
- www.interquote.com 4 sec. (cache) 5 sec. (cache)
-
- These were called up at the same time. Usually the Amiga takes longer
- on the first try, but that is excellent time from a modem vs. network test.
- The problem you seem to be having is probably due to your MTU settings. I
- used a setting of 1500 on the Amiga, and stupid Windows 95 is locked at that
- setting, so I couldn't change it to something else.
